MONTHLY POTLUCK AND SOCIAL MEETING

 

MEMBERS, MALE GUESTS AND MALE AND FEMALE VISITOR RULES

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS AND MALE GUESTS - - we love having guests visit our Monthly Potluck and Social once or twice to “get their feet wet” so to speak and to see if we are the kind of group they would like to become a “family member” of.  It has become increasingly a problem that we are gaining more “guests” than we are actual paid up members.  In discussions with Steering Committee members, we have decided that effective with the September 2012 Monthly Potluck and Social, we will make it a MEMBERS and INVITED MALE GUESTS EVENT ONLY (guests identifying as females are permitted to attend the Monthly Potluck and Social as either a guest speaker OR by an open invitation to the LGBTQ Family Community.  Females may also be invited and admitted to other M.S.N. events, check with the event host.) 

What this means is in order to be admitted to the Monthly Potluck and Social – ONLY THE FOLLOWING WILL BE ADMITTED:

1. Current Paid in Full M.S.N. Members – there is a current sign in roster at the door that has a “expiration date” next to current members name – dues notices are sent (1^st notice) one month prior to expiration, 2^nd notice on the expiration month and a FINAL notice one month after expiration.  As long as you are on the current sign in roster, you will be admitted. 

*Participation Fee will be collected from Members:  $3.00 per if bringing a food dish OR $5.00 if NOT bringing a food dish to share.  Participation Fee’s have been added in order to keep our Annual Dues minimal.  Current Annual Dues are $15.00 per member, renewable annually in the month member originally joined or rejoined.

2. Guests will be considered by the following criteria
1. INVITED or SPONSORED* by a paid in full M.S.N. Member – limited to 3 visits a year – at each visit a guest must be offered the opportunity to become a member.  (They will be asked to sign guest page and wear a guest name tag.)  *If a member chooses to bring a friend that does not care to join our group past the 3 free visits, the Sponsor or Invited Guest will pay ($3.00 if bringing a food item or $5.00 if not bringing a food item) at the door for the Invited GUEST.

2. A FORMER MEMBER OR A FIRST TIME DROP IN VISITOR (that has heard of our group and wants to check it out) –  will be offered the opportunity to become a member and are welcome to return 2 more times in a 12 month time period.  

We ask that members and guests sign in at the greetings table and pick up name tags and pay their respective participation fees.  (Members to wear their official MSN name tag and guests to have a name tag made when they sign in.)

NOTE:  Our annual dues are $15.00 per member.  A prospective member or non-member may attend any of our scheduled events (a maximum of 3 per calendar year) without paying dues but we are in the membership service business, not the freeloader business!!!  

An Annual Membership Directory and Membership Card are provided to our members.
