Monthly Pot Luck
The Monthly Pot Luck for the M.S.N. is a gathering of MEN and their fine foods which currently
takes place at the Casas Adobes Congregational Church at 6801 N. Oracle
Road. This location has been our best choice to date from all the locations available around town. It is a very accommodating modern facility.
If you are planning to attend for the first time, please contact Lee Roden or Merlin Spillers at 207-5336 or Tom Forester at 207-8358 for more information and details. Between 20 and 30 men (or more) gather and share some of the best food you can
find at a Pot Luck.
We attempt to have a monthly Theme for decorations. We occasionally have guest speakers on various NON-POLITICAL topics!! On many Pot Luck nights we also have door prizes along with a 50/50 Money Raffle.
If a crowd a small doesn't put you off, then the Pot Luck is the very best way to get acquainted with the MEN of M.S.N.
 POT LUCK CHECKLIST- Monthly Pot Luck is a safe and friendly atmosphere in which to meet new men and make new friends. Pot Luck is a great introduction to M.S.N. for your friends and for new people in town. Introductions to the group are made for new faces who want to be introduced and new faces are under no obligation to be introduced or to speak to the group unless they want to. We do ask that new faces fill out one of our Introduction Questionnaires that will be provided at sign in at the door. Announcements from members and announcements about upcoming events and activities are made between dinner and dessert to keep you up-to-date and in-the loop.
- Just bring your favorite pre-cooked food item to share. If you are not a cook, check out your favorite restaurant, take-out, or grocery for an appealing item. Plan on being able to serve at least 8 people with your selected dish. We encourage people to bring a main dish, but we want you to use your imagination. The M.S.N. Pot Luck is a true Pot Luck with no pre-planned menu, so bring a great dish and your culinary spirit of adventure! Desserts of course are always needed.
- Volunteering to help set up or clean up after the Pot Luck is a great way of giving back to M.S.N. and an opportunity to meet more of the other members and get to know them better. All you need to do is show up at 6PM to help with set-up, and/or to stay after dessert to help put away tables & chairs and set up the room so it is ready for the church morning social. It is greatly appreciated!!
- Volunteering to be on the M.S.N. Kitchen Krew is another wonderful way to give back to M.S.N. and to deepen and expand your friendships within M.S.N. Give it a try. Our Kitchen Krew makes the Pot Luck work, they arrive a bit early, work with the set-up krew and insure the food is properly placed on the serving tables, then of course after all is eaten and the "goodies to go" plates are completed, clean up and washing of our members serving dishes and closing the kitchen is very important. These volunteers are greatly appreciated - get that good feeling of appreciation by joining (helping) them.
